Kelly’s Story

My hair story began when I was born.  It didn’t get much better after that. I was five years old before I had a full head of hair, even then it was flat, thin, straight, and short.

As I grew up, I longed for thick, beautiful hair that would cascade around my shoulders and down my back.

At 13, I made it my mission to get the luxurious hair I’d always dreamed of.

I begged my mother to take me to a local beauty supply store. I was in heaven: hair everywhere! Every color, length, and style! I bought extensions, went home, and immediately started gluing them into my own hair. I had no clue what I was doing. All I knew was, I finally had hair. It was thick, it was long, and it made me feel gorgeous.

From that moment on, I wanted to share that feeling with everyone who struggles with thinning hair.  So, I studied and became a recognized Master Hair Loss Specialist.

Today I hold more than 30 certifications in various types of hair extensions, men’s and women’s non-surgical hair replacement, and Japanese Thermal Reconditioning, as well as traditional hair cutting and coloring.

I actively participate in several organizations including Wigs for Kids and The American Hair Loss Council.

I am currently training to become a Trichologist, a specialist in alopecia and scalp disorders.

The Hair Specialists’ Story

In 2010, The Hair Specialists began helping others feel great about their hair, offering hair extensions and methods of hair cutting and hair coloring to make hair appear thicker and fuller. Now we offer solutions to every hair challenge. We are a full non-surgical hair replacement salon that helps men, women, and children prevent, restore, and disguise their hair loss. We also have hair restoration products to help stop female hair loss and male hair loss.

On the other side of the spectrum, we offer Japanese Thermal Reconditioning for clients who can’t manage their unruly, frizzy hair or who wish to permanently straighten their curls.
